Message translation
Write in your own language, send in the recipient's.
Context and problem
Trade Club users speak different languages and come from many countries. They needed to communicate easily, and we wanted to increase activity on the platform.
My role
I led the project end to end: functional specification, wireframes in PowerPoint, Jira tickets, following development with the engineers, then deploying and testing in production.
What I did
- Designed a feature that lets users write a message in their own language and send it in the recipient’s language.
- Integrated a machine-translation API (DeepL) to power it.
Result
The feature was released to production and works reliably.
